Had been meaning to pick up this since it's initial release, the 12" vinyl release of Straight Jacket Nation's "Live On PBS" tape that originally came out in a run of 100 copies in 2007. Pressed by No Patience Records from Adelaide, and as you may gather it's a live recording of a set the band did for PBS radio. Don't let the live angle discourage you, as has been stated a number of times by various people recently, the quality of the recording is A+, so good in fact that it could have easily been released by the band as a proper EP. Perhaps the only give away would be light banter between members here and there, and the drum stick click-in on some of the tracks. Fans of the band will know what to expect; rabid hardcore punk that takes pretty sharp cues from most Chris Ebra related Cleveland hardcore bands from the last 90's. Certainly worth tracking down if you're already a fan of the band, but this would also serve as a pretty accurate introduction to their stuff too.
