Teenage Porno Hunter

Here's a funny one, the Dangers, 'Messy, Isn't it?' LP. This is a band that I had never paid any attention to at all until just after they toured here with Graf Orlock a few weeks back. I'm not really sure why to be honest, what's going on here sounds pretty cool, but for some reason, even when the tour was announced, I didn't bother with them. I think I thought they were some stadium crust band or something. I'm not into stadium crust. Live they played pretty fucking good, energetic singer, seemed passionate etc, but still that wasn't enough to make me buy this record from them (they were selling it on their merch table). Instead I went home and downloaded the album to give it a try first. I liked it, so when I was in Sydney I saw it and grabbed it. Red wax.
Inner dust sleeve.
The whole sleeve folds out into this massive poster, and for whatever reason (I'm not normally into plain photography layouts), I really like this pic. It just seems so grim to me. There's certainly something about a woman in (I'm assuming) her late 40's/early 50's about to blow her head off with a big shot gun. I think when someone is prepared to kick the bucket by way of self inflicted gun shot wound to the head, they must be very much so at the end of the rope. Biggest way to say 'fuck you' to everyone I guess.
GRIM.
Back side of the poster. The LP came with a free CD version too.
